The Northern Railway (NR) is one of the 19 railway zones in India and the most northern zone of the Indian Railways. Its main office is located at Baroda House in New Delhi.
Online applications are invited for the recruitment of 3113 Apprentice positions at the Northern Railway. The application period commences on 11.12.2023, and concludes on 11.01.2024
Qualification, Age Limit for Northern Railway Recruitment 2024
Apprentice
- Number Vacancy: 3113
- Educational and other qualifications: Applicants should have completed 10th grade or an ITI course in the relevant trade, recognized by NCVT/SCVT and the Government of India.
- Age Limit: The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 11.01.2024
Mode of Selection for Northern Railway Recruitment 2024
- The procedure for engagement of candidate will be as under:
- Screening & Scrutiny of the application. There will be no written test of viva.
- Selection of Act Apprentices is to be made on the basis of merit prepared taking the average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidate in both Matriculation/SSC/10'(with minimum 50% aggregate marks) & ITI examination giving equal weight age to both.
- In case of two candidates having the same marks, the candidate having older age shall be preferred. In case of the Date of Birth are also same, then the candidate who passed matriculation exam earlier shall be considered first.

Application Fee for Northern Railway Recruitment 2024:
100/- is to be paid through ONLINE MODE as part of online application process. No fee is required to be paid by SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates.

- Steps to be followed for filling out the ONLINE Application • Click on the Link "Engagement of Act Apprentice" ONLINE Application. Information to Candidate (Please visit on RRC website for Notification). Candidate Registration, Fill in the details name, Father's Name, Community, Category, Mobile No., Email ID and date of Birth, and Register.
- On successful registration, the candidate will get a Password for login subsequently on the given Email ID& by SMS on the registered Mobile Number. Login- "Candidate Dashboard containing Application Form, Payment of Online Fee, Upload documents will appear.
