NTPC Limited, previously known as National Thermal Power Corporation, is a government-owned organization under the Ministry of Power in India. It plays a crucial role in producing electricity and related activities. The headquarters is located in New Delhi. NTPC's primary responsibility is to generate and distribute electricity to State Electricity Boards across India. Additionally, the organization is involved in consultancy and turnkey projects, which include tasks like engineering, project management, construction management, and the operation of power plants.

Qualification, Age Limit, Pay Scale for NTPC Recruitment 2024
Engineer (Electrical Erection)
- Number Vacancy: 30
- Educational and other qualifications: B.E/B. Tech Degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics with at least 50% marks from a recognized University/Institution.
- Experience: Minimum 04 years of post-qualification executive experience (excluding training/trainee period, if any) in Electrical Erection at site in the area of Substation and transmission erection work/ Electrical equipment (Like Motor, HT/LT Panel or switchgear/ HT/ LT Cable laying) /Relay and Protections/ Electrical Control System, HT/ LT Transformer in major infrastructure projects like Thermal/Hydro/Renewable/Nuclear power projects/Transmission/ Refinery/Fertilizers/Petro chemicals/Steel/Cement.
- Pay Scale: E2 Grade/ IDA (Rs. 50000 - 160000)
- Age Limit: Upper Age Limit 35 years
Engineer (Civil Construction)
- Number Vacancy: 35
- Educational and other qualifications: B.E/B. Tech Degree in Civil/Construction with at least 50% marks from a recognized University/Institution.
- Experience: Minimum 04 years of post-qualification executive experience (excluding training/trainee period) in Construction at site in the area of foundation works of vibratory structure/Piling work/high rise industrial structures/general Civil work in major infrastructure projects like Thermal/Hydro/Nuclear power projects/Refinery/Fertilizers/Petro chemicals/Steel/Cement.
- Pay Scale: E2 Grade/ IDA (Rs. 50000 - 160000)
- Age Limit: Upper Age Limit 35 years
Engineer (Mechanical Erection)
- Number Vacancy: 35
- Educational and other qualifications: B.E/B. Tech Degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics with at least 50% marks from a recognized University/Institution.
- Experience: Minimum 04 years of post-qualification executive experience (excluding training/trainee period, if any) in Electrical Erection at site in the area of Substation and transmission erection work/ Electrical equipment (Like Motor, HT/LT Panel or switchgear/ HT/ LT Cable laying) /Relay and Protections/ Electrical Control System, HT/ LT Transformer in major infrastructure projects like Thermal/Hydro/Renewable/Nuclear power projects/Transmission/ Refinery/Fertilizers/Petro chemicals/Steel/Cement.

Mode of Selection for NTPC Recruitment 2024
Depending on the requirement, the Company reserves the right to cancel/restrict/curtail/enlarge the number of vacancies, if need so arises, without any further notice and without assigning any reason thereof. In-order to restrict the number of candidates for interview, if so required, the management reserves the right to conduct online screening/shortlisting/selection test or to raise the minimum eligibility standards/ criteria, as per the requirement.

General/EWS/OBC category is required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 300/-. The SC/ST/PwBD/XSM category & female candidates need not pay the application fee.
