Prasar Bharati, also known as PB, is a government-owned broadcasting organization in India, located in New Delhi. It operates independently according to a law passed by the Indian Parliament in 1990. Prasar Bharati includes Doordarshan Television and Akashvani (formerly All India Radio), which were previously part of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Although the law was passed in 1990, Prasar Bharati became operational on September 15, 1997.

Casual News Editor
- Educational and other qualifications: Graduate from Recognized University. Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism with a duration of at least one year from a recognized University / institution or five Years experience in reporting/ editing work in Print media/ Electronic media. Proficiency in any regional Language.
- Age Limit: Between 21 and 50 Years (on Last date of Advertisement)
Casual Broadcast Assistant
- Educational and other qualifications: Graduate with Professional Diploma In Radio, and production with 3 years Experience. Proficiency in English and any local Languages.

Mode of Selection for Prasar Bharati Recruitment 2024
- Casual News Editor: Written test to assess journalistic and professional capability as well as knowledge of khasi/Jaintia/Garo language followed by interview to assess overall personality and suitability for radio news.
- Casual Broadcast Assistant: Written test for General knowledge and current events. Then Practical proficiency Test in Computer Operations for various audio format.
