Space Applications Centre (SAC) is a research institution in Ahmedabad, associated with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). It's a key part of ISRO, focusing on using space technology for things like telecommunications, remote sensing, weather forecasting, and satellite navigation. SAC works on developing systems for satellites, both in space and on the ground, as well as the technology used by people. SAC has three locations: two in Ahmedabad and one in Delhi. The current director is Mr. Nilesh M Desai.
Online applications are invited for the recruitment of Scientist or Engineer positions at the Space Applications Centre. The application period commences on 26.12.2023, and concludes on 15.01.2024
Qualification, Age Limit, Pay Scale for ISRO-SAC Recruitment 2024
Scientist/Engineer-sc(Agriculture)
- Number Vacancy: SAC(02), NRSC(06)
- Educational and other qualifications: M.Sc. in Agricultural Physics/ Agricultural Meteorology/ Agronomy or equivalent with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks (average of all years/semesters) or CGPA grading of 6.84 on a 10 point scale
- Pay Scale: Level 10 (₹56,100– ₹ 1,77,500)
- Age Limit: 18 – 28 years as on 15.01.2024
Scientist/ Engineer-sc (Atmospheric Sciences And Oceanography)
- Number Vacancy: SAC(03), NRSC(05)
- Educational and other qualifications: M.Sc. in Physics/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Meteorology/ Ocean Sciences or equivalent with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks (average of all years/semesters) or CGPA grading of 6.84 on a 10 point scale
- Pay Scale: Level 10 (₹56,100– ₹ 1,77,500)
- Age Limit: 18 – 28 years as on 15.01.2024
Scientist/engineer-sc(Computer science Engineering)
- Number Vacancy: SAC(03), NRSC(NIL)
- Educational and other qualifications: M.E. / M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering with Specialization in Image Processing/ Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning / Computer Vision with an aggregate minimum of 60% (average of all years/semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 point scale
- Pay Scale: Level 10 (₹56,100– ₹ 1,77,500)
- Age Limit: 18 – 30 years as on 15.01.2024
Mode of Selection for ISRO-SAC Recruitment 2024
The date and venue of the Written Test will be communicated to the candidates at an appropriate time. SAC/ISRO reserves the right to change the written test date and/or venue.
Application Fee for ISRO-SAC Recruitment 2024:
- Initially all candidates have to uniformly pay Rs. 750/- (excluding applicable taxes/ charges). Candidates belonging to fee-exempted categories, will be refunded full amount. Other candidates will be refunded Rs. 500/- after retaining the application fee of Rs. 250/-
- All Women, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Ex-servicemen (ESM) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates belong to fee-exempted categories. Relevant documents in prescribed format to be uploaded during registration (except woman candidates) (file should be less than 1 MB).

- Online recruitment portal will be open from 1000 hours on 26.12.2023 to 1730 hours of 15.01.2024 for online registration, submission of application and payment of application fees
