The National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO) is a special intelligence agency in India that focuses on technical aspects. It was established in 2004. The agency works under the National Security Advisor and the Prime Minister's Office. NTRO includes the National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Centre and the National Institute of Cryptology Research and Development.

Online applications are invited for the recruitment of Scientist B positions at the National Technical Research Organisation. The application period commences on 21.12.2023 and concludes at on 19.01.2024

Scientist 'B'

  • Number Vacancy: 74
  • Educational and other qualifications: First class Master's degree of Science in Electronics / Electronics & Computer Science/ Applied Electronics/ Radio Physics & Electronics or Mathematics from a recognized University or institute; First class Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics/ Electronics Communication & instrumentation/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Power/ Telecommunication/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Information & Communication/ Communication Optics & Optoelectronics or any other First Class Bachelo/s degree in Engineering or Technology dealing with networks or information security technologies from a recognised University or institute; and
  • Pay Scale: (Rs.56,100 -1,77 500)
  • Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years as on the crucial date of eligibility.

Mode of Selection for NTRO Recruitment 2024

Eligible registered candidates will be shortlisted based on valid GATE Score (Not GATE Marks or GATE Ranks) in descending order in each category of the respective subject field. The assessment of the shortlisted candidates will be made based on performance in two stages.

  • Written Examination (CBT Based)

  • Eligible registered candidates will be shortlisted based on valid GATE Score of the respective subject/field. The ratio for shortlisting will be 1:25 (i,e 25 candidates for every vacancy, subject to the availability of a sufficient number of eligible registered candidates till the ratio of 1:25 is attained.

Application Fee for NTRO Recruitment 2024:

Candidates (except SC/ST/Female candidates) are required to pay a fee of Rs.250 (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty only) along with the submission of an online application form through online payment mode via applications software only. The processing charges towards remittance of the Application Fee and service tax, if any, will have to be borne by the candidate. Payment of fee through any other mode is neither valid nor acceptable. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor shall the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection

No other means/mode of application will be accepted. Candidates are required to furnish valid "e-mail lD" and active, mobile numbers, during the ONLINE application/registration, The procedure/steps for filling up applications online is available at https://recruihndl.nielit.gov.in/

  • A candidate can apply only ONE subject/field i.e. either 'Electronics & Communications' computer Science' or 'Geo. informatics and Remote Sensing
  • The application shall be treated as complete only if all the mandatory steps are completed successfully. In case a candidate is not able to submit fee by closing date and time, or the application is otherwise incomplete, his/her candidature will summarily be rejected
