IIT Ropar Recruitment 2024

Self-motivated candidates are invited to apply for an open Research Associate position in the group of Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Department of Physics, IIT Ropar. The candidate will work on “Oxide based Electron and Hole transport layers for stable and high efficient perovskite solar cells”. The position is for one years (renewable with satisfactory progress for second year), and will be funded by the Department of Science and Technology under Integrated Clean Energy Materials Acceleration Platform (IC-MAP).

Qualification for IIT Ropar Recruitment 2024

• The applicant should have hands-on experience and expertise in thin film deposition techniques (Physics vapour deposition, chemical vapour deposition and chemical rout) for the growth of oxide based carrier selective layer
• The applicant should have the hands-on experience and expertise for the complete fabrication of perovskite solar cells using chemical and physical vapour deposition techniques like glove box-spin coating and thermal evaporation
• Good quality publications in the area of perovskite solar cell and related area in peer reviewed journals as per the requirement of the project
• Good speaking and writing skills in English
• Ph.D. degree (Physics and appropriate areas) holders are eligible to apply within five years after completion of their Ph.D.
• Candidates who have submitted the thesis are also eligible. However, in case of selection, the selected candidate has to complete the Ph.D. viva (thesis defence) within three months from the date of joining.

Fellowship for IIT Ropar Recruitment 2024

• Fellowship: A fixed Rs. 47,000/- + 9% HRA will be given to the candidate. The norms for the yearly basis progress and evaluation are mandatory.
