The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (J.S.S.C.) was established through the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Act 2008 (Jharkhand Act 16, 2008), as published in Gazette notification no. 829 on December 6, 2008, by the Jharkhand Government. Amendments to the Act were made through Jharkhand Act 03, 2011, and Jharkhand Act 19, 2011, published in Gazette notifications no. 153 on February 24, 2011, and no. 687 on October 11, 2011, respectively.

Qualification Details
Candidates applying for the positions of JSSC Pharmacist (Regular), Laboratory Technician (Regular), X-Ray Technician (Regular), and Hostess Category A (Regular) must possess a minimum qualification of 10th Class or 12th Class. Additionally, there are openings for Pharmacist positions in the Backlog category.
Age Limit
The minimum age requirement is 18 years, and the maximum age limits are as follows: 35 years for UR/EWS, 37 years for OBC/BC, 38 years for women candidates, and 40 years for SC/ST candidates (both men and women).
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs. 100 for candidates other than SC/ST in Jharkhand State, while SC/ST candidates from Jharkhand State are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs. 50.
