Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the post of Radiation Safety Officer in the Teaching Hospitals under the control of Directorate of Medical Education
Position and Vacancies
- Position: Radiation Safety Officer
- No of Post: 12
Educational Qualifications
a) Possess a postgraduate degree (M.Sc.) in Physics or Nuclear Physics from a recognized Indian university.
b) Passed a one-year post M.Sc. diploma in Radiological Physics (Dip. R.P) or Medical Physics.
c) Completed a 12-month internship in a recognized and well-equipped Radiation Therapy Department approved by the AERB Institute. (No internship certificate required before the 2013 batch.)
d) Holds a Certificate of Radiological Safety Officer (RSO Level-III) from the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC).
e) Hold a basic science degree from a recognized university, with physics as one of the main subjects.
f) Possess a postgraduate degree in M.Sc. Medical Physics/Radiation Physics from an AERB-approved university in India.
g) Completed a 12-month internship in a recognized and well-equipped Radiation Therapy Department approved by the AERB Institute. (No need for an internship certificate before the 2013 batch.)
h) Holds a Certificate of Radiological Safety Officer (RSO Level-III) from the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC).
Pay Scale
The pay scale for the Radiation Safety Officer position in the Andhra Pradesh Medical Services Recruitment Board is Rs. 61,960 to Rs. 1,51,370.
Selection Process
a) Selection will be based on merit and rule of reservation
b) Merit list will be prepared for all the candidates who applied and fulfilled all the eligibility conditions.
c) Selection lists will be prepared based on merit lists and roster points as per the Rules of Reservation issued in AP State and Subordinate Services.
d) Total Marks: 100. e) 75% of the marks obtained in qualifying Degree
Application Fee
The candidates shall have to pay the application fee for OC Candidates - Rs.1000/- AND for BC, SC, ST, EWS, Ex-service men and Differently abled candidates - Rs. 500/-
