Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following post under sponsored research projects funded by SERB-DST, in the Department of Information Technology, Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, Howrah-711103.
Qualification, Vacancy, Age Limit, Pay Scale for IIESTS Recruitment 2024
1. Name of the post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
2. No of post: One (01)
3. Duration: 3 years [upto December 2026 or till the project continues whichever is earlier]
4. Essential Qualification:
M.Tech./M.E./M.Sc.(Engg)/M.Sc. in IT/CSE/CST/Computer Science/ETC/ECE/ Electronic Science/EE from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (throughout from class X to the qualifying degree). For SC/ST/ Person with Disability (PwD) category, a minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA (throughout from class X to the qualifying degree) is required.
5. Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- + Rs. 7440/- (24% HRA) = Total Rs. 38440/- per month for the first two years and Rs. 35,000/- + Rs.8400/- (24% HRA) = Total Rs. 43400/- per month for the third year
6. Age Limit: Maximum 32 years, (Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Woman and Physically handicapped candidates)
Selection Procedure for IIESTS Recruitment 2024
Physical documents will be verified at the time of interview. The selection will be canceled if any discrepancies are found in the documents at the time of physical verification.
