The group aims to validate ML-based models through experiments and develop new ML-based models tailored to materials science challenges, particularly in the realm of energy storage/generation. The project involves establishing databases and applying ML algorithms to them, with the possibility of conducting DFT-based computations when necessary. The ideal candidate should be prepared to acquire the necessary skills to effectively contribute to the project's success.

- Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent

CSIR (NCL) Recruitment 2024 Desirable experience
- M.Sc (Physics/Materials Science/Chemistry) with a strong foundation in solid state physics/chemistry and good programming skills (Python/FORTRAN/C++).
- Familiarity with the Linux operating system (any flavours) is required. Working experience in computational materials science and/or machine learning would be advantageous. Candidates with CSIR-JRF/NET or GATE will be given preference.
- Students from a computer science background interested in applying machine learning/NLP to materials are welcome.
