- Essential: M.Sc. in Agricultural Plant Pathology / Microbiology / Biotechnology
- M.Sc. (Microbiology / Life Science / Biotechnology / Botany)
- Desirable: One year of research experience on plant viruses and expertise in the ELISA, PCR, western blotting, gene expression and purification of viral proteins, LFIA kit development, and virus indexing
