Applications are invited from motivated, innovative, and eligible candidates for the position of Research Assistant (01) to work on the project titled “Development of biocompatible ZE41 Magnesium based composite for orthopedic implants applications” funded by JKST&IC, DST. The selected person would work on the Project initially for one year, which could be further extendable up to two years depending upon their performance, conduct, and project status.

Qualification for NIT Srinagar Recruitment 2024

• B. Tech. and M. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum 60% aggregate marks (CGPA ≥ 6.5/10) to qualify under the Open/OBC category and a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (CGPA ≥ 6.0) for candidates under SC/ST category. OR B. Tech.
• (4 years) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (CGPA ≥ 6.5/10) to qualify under the Open/OBC category and a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (CGPA ≥ 6.5) for candidates under the SC/ST category, with valid GATE scores.
• Technical knowledge of operating machine tools, basic knowledge of materials, manufacturing, and materials characterization.
• Handling of Scientific documentation, Maintenance of Records, report writing

Selection Process for NIT Srinagar Recruitment 2024

• The selected candidate can register for Ph.D. programme if eligible, as per institute rules and statutes.
• Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit as per the project's requirements.
• Mere qualification of eligibility criteria does not guarantee a shortlist.
• The shortlisted candidate would be called for interviews and the intimation would be sent through emails only.
• The selected candidate is expected to join within a week after publishing the interview result.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview in physical mode.
